Bordetella helps protect against Kennel Cough ( the Common Dog Cold) an airborne and highly infectious flu. There are multiple strains of Kennel cough and can change very quickly so we require the 6 month version due to the nature of the virus and the frequent and close contact of all the dogs who come to daycare. The shot is by no means 100% effective but it does help
All you need to bring is a leash/ collar/harness and your dog's food if they get a lunch. We recommend keeping them on their regular food. If they have medication bring that too. Please note: NO SEIZURE MEDs and NO INSULIN/Injections, we are not trained to administer those.
Yes you can add on a bath to your pet's stay for boarding or daycare. We would love to spoil your pup and give them extra one on one love while we scrub them in the tub. Fill out a bath form at drop off or give a us a call 805-280-2765 to add it on to their visit
All puppies must have completed their puppy vaccinations, including Full Rabies Series, DHPP and the Bordetella vaccinations. Most veterinarians have these vaccinations scheduled by 4 months old. As always, we recommend that you speak with your veterinarian regarding the best health advice for your particular pup before bringing them in for their fun socialization time at Beach Dog Fun!
Beach Dog Fun caters to dogs UNDER 35lbs and socialized – we do have a diverse pack that accommodates high & lower energy, young & older, those that come only occasionally and some every day. Our facility is outfitted with multiple indoor/outdoor play yards that allow our highly-trained team to organize appropriate play groups for each member. The safety and happiness of our furry guests is always top priority..
Yes, just like kids, two dogs can play well one moment and less than pleased the next. At Beach Dog Fun, we take every precaution to prevent altercations before they occur. First and foremost, we adhere to a rigorous screening process to ensure only well-tempered dogs that are comfortable in a group setting are admitted to the club. Secondly, our attentive, well-trained staff is always on hand to facilitate proper dog behavior giving dogs alone time when needed. In the rare event that a serious altercation does occur, the aggressor will be taken out of play for the remainder of the day and depending on the circumstances, may be asked not to return.
At Beach Dog Fun, the health and well-being of our member dogs is our primary concern. Any unusual behavior such as limping, regurgitation, lethargy, etc. is detailed in a daily log and monitored for progression. Owners will be notified upon pick-up of any such events, unless cause for concern arises in which owners will be contacted immediately. If medical attention is deemed necessary, the dog will be taken directly to the dog’s primary veterinarian for treatment at the owner’s expense.

Just like humans, every dog has a unique personality and thus requires an individual assessment to participate in our social daycare service. Some simply do not enjoy playing with high-energy groups of dogs and others need additional socialization or behavior modification before being introduced to the dog daycare setting.

Yes, an evaluation is required prior to booking. Please note, all guests must be in good health, be independently mobile, and show no aggression toward our team members. We reserve the right to refuse service if these conditions are not met, and the deposit will be forfeited.
Yes! Please bring the food/treats that you regularly feed your dog. This is very helpful in making you pup's stay more comfortable. We will get proper feeding instructions to match their diets at home to prevent any upset stomachs. Please provide extra food if there is any possible way you may be delayed in your return or if the stay is over 5 nights.
Bring:

o Leash & harness
o Any medication or supplements with detailed instructions

Leave at home:
o No Bowls.
We have plenty. However, if your dog uses a special slow feeder or elevated bowl, please be sure to bring it with you.
o No Crates.
We have plenty of crates available for dogs who are crated at night. Please let us know in advance if your dog is typically crated. We ask that you provide a blanket or comfort item that is safe and not a choking hazard.
Please drop off your dog no later than 5:30 PM to allow time for them to settle in before the evening ends. For arrivals after 3 PM, we ask that they are fed and given any necessary medication prior to dropping off.
The only cancellation fee we have is for boarding over holidays.

Non refundable reservation deposits are required for any dog stays during holiday times.
Yes! This is one of the wonderful aspects of our boarding service. Our team members monitor the dogs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on camera. We are always on hand ready to care for our furry guests and attend to their needs, no matter the time of day or night

No. Beach Dog Fun’s boarding is designed for the safety and comfort of dogs currently in good health, free from injury, and independently mobile. We provide a fun, active environment for dogs of all sizes to exercise and a safe, comfortable place for them to slumber, however we are not set up as a medical care facility catering to dogs recovering from injuries or illnesses. Please reach out to your veterinarian for appropriate boarding options.
Unfortunately no, at that time in their life – they are developing their hormones & it can upset the pack environment.
Yes. Our 8’ x 4’ Suites are suitable for the safety and comfort of multiple canine guests not to exceed 75lbs combined. Owners assume responsibility of their pets safety while sharing a single private suite. Family dogs are welcome to have either private play time together throughout the day, or if your dogs meet the group play requirements, they are welcome to play together all day with the other daycare and signature social suite guests.
