meet Jess!
Jess
Let us introduce our fabulous groomer, Jessica! Jess has over 19 years in the grooming industry beginning at the Grooming Academy in Washington in February 2007. The program requires 4 weeks of intense training, 160 in salon experience & expert in top 5 specialty breed cuts.
She recently won the Reader Recommendation for the VC Star Awards Best of 2025 and been with Beach Dog Fun since November of 2019. She cannot pick a favorite dog because she loves them all but her favorite hair cut to do on a dog is a bladed body with a fuller leg – commonly called a “Schnauzer” cut. If the opportunity to put glitter, color, tinsel, feathers or gems on a dog – she will not pass it up :)
Personally, she is a mom & wife who loves being outside hiking & beachcombing. She plays competitive Roller Derby since 2019 & skated for over 30 years as a hobby. She has a garden where she grows her own veggie & fruits and LOVES cheese. She grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Virginia, and Camarillo.
The future is bright for Jess and her future goals include enrolling the master grooming program, and to eventually own a cow, donkey & pig. Her motto is basically that “kindness is key and music makes the world go around." Her happy place is the grooming salon, surrounded by flying hair & happy dogs. We are very lucky & proud to have her as a member of our talented team at Beach Dog Fun.
